Healthy Young Minds (01706 676 000) Workshops are available for parents of children with a diagnosis of ASC, looking at a range of different difficulties associated with ASC, including sleep, challenging behaviour and anxiety. You can ring the number above to book on to the workshops. Riding the Rapids course is a separate course its 10 week course for parents/ care givers looking at behaviour management strategies. You can ring the number above to enquire if this course could be helpful to you. Consultations for parents and carers of young people with a diagnosis of ASC are available every Wednesday morning. |

Barnardos (01706 769634 rochdale.project@barnardos.org.uk) Barnardoes offers social sessions for young people (short breaks) including agirl’s group for ages 8+. There is also the SHINE course – for parents for children with social communication difficulties aged under 5 and the SHINE+ course - for parents for children with social communication difficulties aged over 5. |

Rochdale Additional Needs Service RANS (01706 926400) Supports young people with additional needs in school settings. They can provide specific interventions or consult with school staff regarding strategies to support children with social communication difficulties. RANS also provide coffee mornings and consultations for carers of young people with additional needs. |
